Dixie Heights 70, Lloyd 14

Last week, Dixie Heights scored 70 points for the first time in its modern-day football history. For an encore? Seventy more.

The Colonels, ranked seventh in the Class AAA state poll, rolled to a 70-7 beating of host Lloyd on Friday to improve to 3-0. That neatly matched the 70-14 victory they posted a week prior against Simon Kenton.

Friday, Dixie took advantage of six Juggernaut turnovers in cruising to the victory, a game it led 49-7 at halftime.

Senior running back Jason Soden scored three touchdowns and rushed for 88 yards to pace the Colonels, while senior quarterback Chris Unkraut passed for 125 yards and two TDs.
