Freshman goalkeeper boosts Mariemont
Freshman Whitney Raeon made 17 saves in the second half to lead Mariemont to a 1-0 victory over host Madeira in the championship game of the Madeira Invitational. Raeon was named tournament MVP.
BOYS GOLF: Lakota West held off Oak Hills and Middletown 159-161-175 in a tri-match at Beckett Ridge Country Club to give 30-year coach Jack Buhi his 300th victory. Buhi has spent his entire career at Lakota.
BOYS SOCCER: Nick Thompson scored five minutes into the second half to break a 1-1 tie as LaSalle beat Covington Catholic 3-1.
