Beechwood 58, Lloyd 0

Beechwood's football team ran its regular-season winning streak to 28 games, again avenging its last such setback by beating Lloyd 58-0 Friday at Beechwood.

Lloyd beat Beechwood 14-12 on Sept.12, 1996, but the Tigers have beaten the Juggernauts three times since. Beechwood's streak will be on the line Friday when it travels to Newport to face the unbeaten Wildcats.

Senior running back Joey Hampel rushed for 107 yards and Ben List scored four TDs Friday to lead the Tigers.

List scored the first four TDs of the contest as Beechwood cruised to a 31-0 lead at intermission. The Tigers won the total yardage battle, 357 yards to 53.
