HAMILTON Retired Northwest Local Schools educator Frank Margello has been named an assistant principal at Badin High School.
He replaces Gerry Weisgerber, who recently left to become assistant principal and athletic director at Lakota West High School.
I approached him; I knew he had just retired and his daughters had gone here, said Badin Principal Margaret Winkeljohn. He brings some gifts that are important to Badin.
Mr. Margello will work on curriculum development and oversee the athletic department. He had been vocational director for Northwest Schools before his retirement this summer after 32 years in education. He previously had been high school principal and middle school principal.
His two older daughters, Ali and Melissa, are Badin grads and his youngest daughter, Amanda, is a sophomore.
Fred Hesse, who has been freshman basketball coach for 18 years, was named head basketball coach. John Brinck and Brian Pendergast will head the freshmen and junior varsity teams respectively.
