State patrol, locals make 151 I-75 arrests
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and other police agencies along Interstate 75 made 151 arrests last week for traffic and drug-related offenses.
Conducted Wednesday, the 24-hour operation, titled Patrol and Criminal Enforcement (PACE), netted one arrest for drunken driving, along with an arrest for carrying a concealed weapon and numerous arrests for speeding and other traffic violations, state police Lt. Timothy Bally said.
Authorities also confiscated about 5 grams of marijuana from a motorist, worth about $20.
It was the third time such a unified effort has been conducted on I-75. The other two took place in February and in June, Lt. Bally said, adding that the next initiative may take place in October or November.
Lincoln Heights, Lockland, Glendale, Evendale, Arlington Heights, Sharonville, Union Township (Butler County) and Cincinnati police participated.
