Columnist to get breast cancer award

Enquirer columnist Laura Pulfer has been named the 1999 recipient of the Linda Heines Award of Inspiration, given by the Breast Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.

Ms. Pulfer is a breast cancer survivor who has raised awareness about the disease through public speaking appearances and columns.

Rita Sauer, co-founder of Breast Cancer Angels Inc., will receive the alliance's Award of Hope for her fund raising.

The awards will be presented at a luncheon Oct. 2 at the Omni Netherland Plaza.
