Computer's child porn not local, police say
MIDDLETOWN Police doubt any neighborhood or local children are among those depicted in pornographic images seized from a 54-year-old man's computer, Lt. Don Owens said Tuesday.
On Monday, a grand jury in neighboring Warren County indicted Timothy O'Conner of Eastline Drive after a computer repairman there discovered the images on Mr. O'Conner's computer.
Mr. O'Conner faces 21 charges: seven counts each of pandering obscenity involving a minor, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
The images found on his computer depict seven youngsters ages 7 to 10, engaged in sex acts, Warren County authorities said.
A Butler County grand jury is expected to consider whether to file an additional indictment against Mr. O'Conner, Lt. Owens said. In a June 3 search of his home, Middletown police seized large quantities of suspected pornographic materials, including equipment that could be used to reproduce and distribute the images, Lt. Owens said.
