Brothers win tennis sectionals

It was a day the Pittman brothers from Sycamore High will remember.
Defending Division I state singles champion Eric Pittman, repeated as Cincinnati West sectional champion Saturday at Princeton High School.
In the semifinals of the rain-delayed sectional tournament, Pittman beat Turpin's Nick Kotsonis 6-1, 6-0. He downed Turpin's Daniel Wieczokck in the championship match 6-1, 6-1.
Pittman's younger brother, Bryan, also emerged as a sectional champion.
Only a sophomore, Bryan teamed with Marshall Kuresman to capture the doubles title. They beat Sycamore's Artie Peller and James Tyler, the No.1 seeded team, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 for the title.

Championship: Pittman d. Wieczorek 6-1, 6-3. Third Place: Teufel d. Kotsonis 7-5, 6-3.
Doubles
Semifinals: Peller-Tyler (Sycamore) d. Grannon-Randall (Turpin) 6-2, 6-1; Pittman-Kuresman (Sycamore) d. Porter-Riddell (Anderson) 6-1, 6-4.
Championship: Pittman-Kuresman d. Peller-Tyler 6-2, 2-6, 6-2. Third Place: Porter-Riddell d. Grannon-Randall 6-4, 7-5.
