BY RANDY TUCKER
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Cincinnati-based Monarch Construction has been awarded an $18.8 million military contract to build the fourth phase of the Acquisition Management Complex at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The Air Force also selected Monarch to build the previous three phases of the project valued at $60 million.

The fourth phase is expected to be completed by late 2000.

In 1997, Monarch was named Contractor of the Year by the Army Corps of Engineers, which chose Monarch over all other contractors involved in military construction contracts, the company said.

Construction is to be completed by fall in time for the start of the football and soccer seasons.

Century was also recently selected by the Bank of Kentucky to be the general contractor in charge of renovating the Mosler Building at Third and Scott streets in Covington.

The project is valued at $1.8 million.
