HAMILTON 5, MIGHTY DUCKS 3
Ducks blow another lead
HAMILTON, Ont. The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks squandered the lead for a third consecutive game and lost 5-3 to the Hamilton Bulldogs Friday night in the AHL.
Second-period goals by Hamilton's Chris Ferraro (shorthanded) and Kevin Brown 4:17 apart erased a 2-0 Duck lead. Former New Jersey Devil Jim Dowd gave Hamilton its first lead of the game 3:20 into the third.
Duck Ivan Ciernik scored his fifth goal 2:17 after Dowd's goal to tie it for Cincinnati. Ferraro's second goal with 7:46 left broke the tie. He finished off the hat trick with an empty-net goal at the 19:36 mark.
This shows you the type of team (Hamilton) has, Ducks coach Moe Mantha said. They lose one of the best goalies (Steve Passmore) in the league to Edmonton and yet they keep winning.
