Driver pleads not guilty in 3 deaths

        BATAVIA — Charles Gumbert pleaded not guilty Wednesday to three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide in the deaths of three members of a New Richmond family.

        Judge Robert Ringland of Clermont County Common Pleas Court set bond at $750,000 cash. Mr. Gumbert will appear March 18 for a pretrial hearing before Judge William Walker.

        Mr. Gumbert, 38, of New Richmond, is charged with causing the Feb. 26 accident on Ohio 132 that killed Tammy and Rodney Shannon and their 11-year-old son, Christopher.
