Snow tonight could be 2 inches or 10
The Tristate is expected to get some snow beginning late tonight, but just how much depends on the temperature.
The National Weather Service on Sunday issued a winter storm watch for tonight/Tuesday morning for Greater Cincinnati.
A fairly slow moving storm front will move into the area before midnight, but the question is whether the precipitation will be all snow or whether the initial snow will give way to sleet and rain on Tuesday, said Bob Larson, Accu-Weather Inc. meteorologist.
An accumulation of 2 to 4 inches of snow is forecast before the precipitation changes to rain early Tuesday, Mr. Larson said. If the changeover to rain doesn't occur, the snow accumulation could be substantial 5 to 10 inches, he said.
Whatever the type of precipitation, the amounts will be higher to the north of Cincinnati and lesser to the south (in Northern Kentucky), Mr. Larson said.
