UK live in Ky.; on tape in Ohio
Kentucky basketball fans can see UK play live on TV tonight if they live in Northern Kentucky and have cable.
WSTR-TV (Channel 64), which held the rights to early-round games in both the Conference-USA and Southeastern Conference tournaments, gave the rights to tonight's UK game back to Jefferson Pilot.
JP wanted us to keep the rights and tape-delay the game, but we worked out a deal with InterMedia Cable (in Northern Kentucky) to have them show it, said WSTR programming director Chris White.
InterMedia Channel 6 will show UK's game live at 7:30 p.m. WSTR will air UC's game live at 7 p.m., then join UK in progress. When UK's game concludes, WSTR will air tape of the entire game.
