$10,000 reward offered for Erica's return

KETTERING, Ohio — Miami Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of 9-year-old Erica Baker, police said Tuesday.

Erica has been missing since Feb. 7 despite a massive search and publicity campaign.

Crime Stoppers' telephone number here is (937) 222-7867.

Erica disappeared on a rainy Sunday afternoon while walking her dog near the Kettering Recreation Center, close to her home.

As of Tuesday, police said they still had no suspects or physical evidence linked to Erica's disappearance. Her divorced parents, Misty Baker of Kettering and Greg Baker of Huber Heights, have both taken lie-detector tests; police called the results favorable to the parents.

Police have said they consider the case a kidnapping by a stranger or non-family member.

The case has gained national attention from the Fox TV show America's Most Wanted for the past two Saturdays, and on Wednesday, Erica's parents said they planned to fly to Chicago for a taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show.
