Lebanon improves to 16-1

        Lebanon improved to 16-1 after beating host Lemon Monroe 79-46 Saturday.

        Brady Merchant scored nine points during the Warriors' 30-13 fourth-quarter run.

        Tyler Alexander led Lebanon with 21 points, and Merchant added 20.

        • Middletown 61, Lakota West 56, at Lakota West — Rhett McCoy scored 20 points, six in the fourth quarter, for the victorious Middies.

        Lakota West appeared to have tied the game at 59-59 when Dan Hutzelman sank a 25-foot three-point field goal with six seconds remaining.

        However, an official ruled that Hutzelman's heel was on the out-of-bounds line and nullified the field goal.

        Lakota East had a chance to tie, but a final shot was off the mark.

        Colerain's Joe Allen and Lakota East's Brad Baker each scored 16 points.

        • Hamilton 58, Princeton 54, at Hamilton — Two free throws by Seth Morris with four seconds remaining, clinched the Big Blue victory.

        Senior guard Derek Benson scored 14 of his career-high 25 in the fourth quarter for Hamilton. The victory avenges a 83-76 overtime loss to Prince ton on Tuesday at Princeton.

        Todd Schlensker (18 points) and Bret Underwood got Madeira out to a fast start, combining for 16 points in the first quarter when the Mustangs took a 27-6 lead.

        Nick Welage led all scorers with 20 points, and Price added 10. Bryan Smith led New Miami with 18.

        J.D. Foust had 24 points for the Indians.

        A senior center/forward, Moore also blocked nine shots and pulled down eight rebounds for NCH. Brandon Bryant scored two field goals late in the fourth quarter after the Wildcats pulled within four.
