HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. Sophomore guard Craig Conley scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds and had seven assists Saturday as Northern Kentucky University defeated Missouri-St.Louis78-64 in Regents Hall.
Conley, a graduate of LaSalle High School, made three three-pointers and scored 12 of his points in the second half as NKU (6-4) rolled past UMSL (4-6). Sophomore forward Adam Norwell, a graduate of Anderson High School, added 13 points and also grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds for the Norse.
Craig Conley hit a couple of big three-pointers in the second half that allowed us to build a nice lead, and he had an excellent game, NKU head coach Ken Shields said.
NKU was never threatened after a 15-4 run gave the Norse a 59-45 lead with nine minutes remaining.
The Norse led by as many as 18 points in the second
NKU will play host to Quincy University at 7:45 p.m. Monday night in Regents Hall.
