SPRINGDALE -- A 20-year-old Mount Healthy man Wednesday was charged with the sexual assault of a young boy Sunday in a department store bathroom.
Police charged Shaun Zimmerman, of the 1700 block of Kinney Avenue, with rape in the incident that occurred in bathroom of the Value City department store on Kemper Road.
An 8-year-old boy was using the restroom when the accused entered his stall and sexually assaulted him, police said. The incident occurred about 3:55 p.m.
A department store surveillance camera placed Mr. Zimmerman in the department store around the time of the assault. He was already in the Hamilton County Justice Center on an unrelated charge Wednesday when police charged him with rape.
