Marge Schott Chevrolet-Geo is no more.
General Motors Corp. executed a dealer agreement Wednesday with Gregory Joseph to replace the Reds principal owner's dealership with a new one called Montgomery Chevrolet.
Ronald Joseph Sr., CEO of the Joseph Auto Group, said Mrs. Schott will be a consultant for Montgomery Chevrolet but wouldn't define her role. She still owns Schott Buick in Norwood.
Mrs. Schott's troubles with Major League Baseball might not be over, however. National League President Len Coleman has said an investigation looms when the Schott-GM case is closed.
Baseball wants to probe GM's complaint that Mrs. Schott faked 57 car sales in 1995 to meet sales quotas.
Of those alleged phony sales, seven were in the names of current Reds employees.
GM spokesman Bill O'Neill wouldn't comment on the status of the complaint, but company lawyers indicated last month that it would be dropped in the event of a sale.
The dealership will remain at 9292 Montgomery Rd.
Gregory Joseph and Karl Stewart are co-presidents of the dealership. Ronald Joseph Jr. is the general manager, and Jim Peters is the service director.
Ronald Joseph Sr. would not disclose financial details of the transaction.
