UC center Flowers leaves for Tenn. State

Rod Flowers is leaving the University of Cincinnati basketball program and transferring to Tennessee State.
Flowers, a 6-foot-8 center from Huntsville, Ala., played in 22 games as a junior at UC last season, averaging 11 minutes, 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds. He started four games.
During his three-year UC career, Flowers scored 69 points and pulled down 54 rebounds. His career scoring high was 10 points last season against Dayton. He was suspended for two games late last season for conduct detrimental to the team.
Flowers has one year of eligibility remaining at Tennessee State but must sit out next season under NCAA transfer rules.
