UC women select Sharp MVP

Senior guard K.B. Sharp was named most outstanding player at the University of Cincinnati women's basketball awards banquet Thursday night.

Sophomore center Debbie Merrill was named best offensive player, and junior forward Brittani Young was named best defensive player for the third straight year.

UC's Valerie King has been invited to participate in the 2003 USA Basketball National Team Trials from May 22-25 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
