UC adds lineman to signings

The Associated Press

The University of Cincinnati added another player to its football recruiting class Thursday. J.P. Simon (Massillon, Ohio/Washington) signed a national letter of intent. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman probably will play tackle.

"We feel very fortunate to add another offensive lineman with the size and skills that J.P. has," Bearcats coach Rick Minter said. "He comes from a high school program that has a great winning tradition, and he is well-prepared to play at the collegiate ranks."

Simon is the 22nd member of UC's class.
