UC's McCleskey has enough time to heal
Deep bruise sent RB to bench early

UC running back DeMarco McCleskey will take advantage of this week's bye, which will give him time to recover from a deep bruise to his left quadriceps muscle.
Head coach Rick Minter said McCleskey, who rushed 21 times for a team-high 84 yards and a touchdown during Monday's 36-29 win against TCU, will be ready for West Virginia on Sept. 14.
DeMarco is going to be fine, Minter said. It would be close if we were to play a game this week.
Tedric Harwell and Richard Hall will back up McCleskey. Harwell rushed five times for 9yards Monday and pushed quarterback Gino Guidugli across the goal line for the tying two-point conversion.
Hall carried just once, but it was a 4-yard TD.
With McCleskey injured, Minter said Harwell and Hall will get extra work this week in practice.
It gives us an opportunity to work with those guys more, and get them ready to go, too, Minter said.
KEY BLOCKS: Tye Keith, who had a catch for 36 yards, drew praise from Minter for his blocking, which freed teammates downfield. Keith blocked two TCU defenders on LaDaris Vann's TD reception. Keith, along with Harwell, cleared the path for Guidugli to score on a quarterback draw in overtime.
Tye Keith had a great game, Minter said.
WVU DEFENSE: Minter said he expects West Virginia's defense to use a 33 nickel defense. The package includes three defensive linemen, three linebackers and five defensive backs. After WVU plays Wisconsin Saturday, UC will review game film.
