Most UC fans will get shut out
Tickets limited
It may be within driving distance, but tickets to Cincinnati's first-round NCAA Tournament game against Boston University will not be easy to come by.
Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh is sold out. UC gets an allotment of 450 tickets, said ticket manager Meagan Kantor. About 90 are available for students, who can sign up for a lottery from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the athletic ticket office. The winners will be announced at 5 p.m.
After coaches' and players' guests and university officials and administrators get tickets, there are only about 150 available for UC season ticket holders, who already have been notified whether they are eligible for tickets, Kantor said.
She added that the San Jose Arena, site of the West Regional semifinals and final, is also sold out.
