Rocker, Dorn join UC's football staff

Enquirer news services

Tracy Rocker, the defensive line coach at Troy State, and Phil Dorn, an offensive assistant at California University of Pennsylvania, were hired Thursday to fill out Cincinnati's coaching staff.

Rocker will be the defensive line coach and Dorn will coach tight ends and coordinate recruiting for head coach Rick Minter.

Rocker, who won the Lombardi Award and the Outland Trophy in 1988 at Auburn, has been the defensive line coach at Troy State for the last five years.

Dorn attended Wittenberg, got his master's degree from Ohio State and coached high schools in the Columbus area in the 1980s. He coached at Capital and Butler before going to the Pennsylvania school in 1997. He has been an offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the last five years.
