Bearcats seeking repeat
Want to play vs. No. 19 Wake Forest as they did at Charlotte

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. The sixth-ranked University of Cincinnati could use a performance similar to Wednesday night's when it meets No.19 Wake Forest on Saturday.
The Bearcats hammered Charlotte 85-66 in the second of three consecutive road games, and senior Steve Logan got a big lift from teammate Leonard Stokes' 30 points.
Senior Immanuel McElroy did a nice defensive job on Charlotte senior Jobey Thomas, holding him to just five second-half points.
We need to just play like that again, assistant coach Dan Peters said. When we get that second or third scorer to go with Logan, then we're all right. But we've got to get our post guys to make some shots.
Center Donald Little went scoreless against the 49ers, though he did have seven rebounds. Power forward Jamaal Davis had four points and five rebounds before going to the bench because of a mild ankle sprain in the final minutes. He could have played if needed, and he practiced Thursday.
The morning after he scored 24 points against Charlotte, Logan flew home to Cleveland to attend the birth of his child. He is scheduled to rejoin the team today.
With the victory over Charlotte, UC continues to control its own destiny in the Conference USA race. Memphis (10-0) plays at Shoemaker Center on March 3, the final day of the regular season. And Marquette, tied with UC atop the American Division at 9-1, plays at Cincinnati on Feb.22. Because of an unbalanced schedule, Memphis and Marquette don't play each other.
Saturday's game is one of UC's few remaining opportunities to collect what would be considered a quality win in its bid for a No.1 or 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Aside from Memphis and Marquette, the Bearcats' four remaining league opponents have losing records in C-USA.
