UC 4th in coaches poll




The Cincinnati Enquirer

        The University of Cincinnati Bearcats moved up one spot to fourth Sunday in the USA Today-ESPN men's college basketball coaches poll.

        UC, winner of 19 straight games after Saturday's 78-68 victory over South Florida, trails only Duke, Kansas and Maryland.

        The Bearcats also moved up in the Rating Percentage Index. Eighth last week, UC moved up to No.3 Sunday behind Kansas and Duke.

        Xavier, which received the 36th-most votes last week, received the 29th-most votes Sunday. XU, which beat Dayton 75-59 Saturday, jumped from No.35 to 23 in the RPI.
