University of Cincinnati senior guard Steve Logan has been picked to repeat as Conference USA Player of the Year in a vote by the league's 14 coaches.
Logan, the Bearcats' leading scorer a year ago (17.6 ppg), is joined on the preseason all-conference team by Kelly Wise (Memphis), Jobey Thomas (Charlotte), Altron Jackson (South Florida) and B.B. Waldon (South Florida).
Last season, Logan finished in the top 10 in C-USA in scoring, 3-point percent age and free throw percentage.
On the women's side, Sophomore Valerie King, UC's leading scorer last season (16.2), was named to the preseason all-conference team. She is joined by UAB All-American Deanna Jackson, the 2001 Player of the Year; Tulane's Teana McKiver; DePaul's Lenae Williams; Louisville's Sara Nord, and Houston's Chandi Jones.
