UC selects Hall of Famers
Four former UC greats, including three football players, have been selected for induction into the Jim Kelly Athletic Hall of Fame.
They are:
Danny Barrett, who quarterbacked the Bearcats in the early 1980s before playing in the Canadian Football League;
Steve Cowan, who was UC's all-time leading rusher when he concluded his career in 1970;
Bob Hynes, who set two records that still stand in his only season of football, in 1923;
Deb McKinney, UC's first women's soccer All-American and leader of the school's first three varsity teams in the early 1980s.
They will be enshrined Oct.5 at the UC Alumni Center and will be honored at halftime of the football game with Tulane Oct.6 at Nippert Stadium. Dinner reservations: (513) 556-4884.
