Coach: Cronin's departure was a factor
By Michael Perry
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Moustapha Diagne, a 7-foot center from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas, who visited the University of Cincinnati the weekend of April 7-8, announced Friday that he will attend New Mexico.
Trinity Valley coach Leon Spencer said that former UC assistant coach Mick Cronin's departure for Louisville was a factor in Diagne's decision.
It wasn't the deciding factor, but it was a factor, Spencer said.
Diagne also visited Missouri, Alabama and Pittsburgh.
