UC baseball team gets long-awaited ranking



        The Collegiate Baseball Writers tabbed Cincinnati 35th in its Top 35 poll, the first national ranking in 30 years for the Bearcats.

        UC's home opener is 3 p.m. Friday against Cleveland State.

        The Bearcats (6-2) also received votes in Baseball Weekly/ESPN poll, ranking 44th overall by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
