UC women 64, American 52

        Laura Wilder recorded her second career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 22 rebounds as Cincinnati's women's basketball team beat American 64-52 Friday night.

        Wilder's 22 rebounds are the fourth most in a single game by a UC player. The last Bearcat to break the 20-rebound mark was Cheryl Cook against Illinois State in 1984.

        Valerie King matched a career-high 18 points, and Kristen Sharp added 11.

        Cincinnati shot only 31 percent from the field but outrebounded the Eagles 53-32.

        Erin Brady had 15 points for American, and Jina Lewis added 11.

        The Bearcats next will play host to Xavier on Tuesday in the annual Hometown Shootout. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. in UC's Shoemaker Center.
