Lindsay may transfer to UC
Lebanon football star leaving Ohio State
COLUMBUS Ohio State defensive back Kelton Lindsay has left the football team, and his mother, Linda, said he is hoping to transfer to the University of Cincinnati for personal reasons.
The former Lebanon High star, who will be a sophomore this year, didn't show up for practice Friday.
Lindsay couldn't be reached for comment Saturday.
As a freshman at Ohio State, Lindsay switched to defensive back, but played only on special teams. He injured his knee playing basketball during winter break.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder rushed for 5,505 yards and scored 512 points in high school and helped lead Lebanon to a Division II state title as a junior. He was Enquirer Division II player of the year as a senior.
