C-USA gets tie-in with Motor City Bowl

The University of Cincinnati football team has another shot at a bowl game, if it can finish high enough in Conference USA.

C-USA announced Thursday it has secured a fourth bowl tie-in, with the Motor City Bowl in Pontiac, Mich. The C-USA “fourth selection” team will play the Mid-American Conference champion.

The C-USA champion again will play in the AXA Liberty Bowl in Memphis. The league's second-selection team goes to the GMAC Mobile Alabama Bowl, and the third team goes to the inaugural galleryfurniture.com Bowl in Houston.

The “selection” term allows for the possibility of the C-USA champion getting a major BCS bowl bid. C-USA's deal with the Humanitarian Bowl (Boise, Idaho) expired last year.
