Slaise scores 35 to lead UC women




        Madinah Slaise scored 35 points on 9-of-14 shooting to carry the UC Lady Bearcats to a Conference USA victory at the Shoemaker Center.

        Slaise made 13 of 18 free throws as UC (9-7, 3-3) hung on to win a game that featured eight ties and eight lead changes.

        Kristen Sharp added 12 points for the Bearcats, who sent North Carolina Charlotte to 7-10, 2-4 in the conference.
