UC runaway choice for No. 1
Bearcats get 61 of 70 1st-place votes

Arizona, Stanford and Auburn remained second through fourth in the balloting, while Duke, Syracuse and Kansas each moved up one place to be fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively. Connecticut dropped from No. 5 to No. 8 and Florida moved up one spot to ninth and Michigan State did the same in rounding out the Top Ten.
Four teams No. 19 St. John's, No. 20 Vanderbilt, No. 22 Utah and No. 25 UCLA moved into the Top 25.
Illinois, Temple, LSU and Louisville, who were Nos. 22 through 25 last week, all fell out of the rankings after a week that saw more than half of the Top 25 lose (13 teams lost 17 games).
