The University of Cincinnati football team has added Troy State and dropped Arkansas State from its 1999 football schedule.
Troy State, which went 8-4 and made the Division I-AA playoffs last year, will visit Nippert Stadium on Sept. 11. That date was previously open for UC, which now will have an open date Oct. 2, the original date of the Arkansas State game.
The switch was made to accommodate Arkansas State, whose new conference affiliation — it is moving from independent status to the Big West this year — created a scheduling conflict. Arkansas State, a Division I-A team, has agreed to play a game at UC in the near future.
