Levett will play in all-star game
UC senior guard Melvin Levett was named Tuesday to the East roster for the NABC All-Star game Friday night at 7:30 at the Sun Dome in Tampa.
Levett's team will be coached by Kentucky's Tubby Smith and includes forward Galen Young of Conference USA rival UNC Charlotte and Yegor Mescheriakov and Shawnta Rogers of George Washington, which edged Xa vier for the Atlantic 10 Conference West title.
The West team, coached by Utah's Rick Majerus, includes former Indiana guard Neil Reed of Southern Mississippi and Louisville guard Cameron Murray.
Levett also will compete in the NABC Slam Dunk contest held before the all-star game.
